We are not authorised to provide financial services, and we do not provide them. We hold no client money, manage nobody's investments and offer no financial products. If you need a firm that can do those things, it must hold an AFSA licence — and you can check that yourself.

"Registered in the AIFC"
and "licensed to handle your money"
are two different sentences

Algoritm Capital Ltd. is a private company incorporated in the Astana International Financial Centre. We work with our own capital and provide advisory support to businesses on matters that do not require a financial services licence.

We open with what we are not, because the gap between those two sentences is used constantly. A company can be perfectly genuinely registered in the AIFC and still have no permission whatsoever to take your money, manage it or advise you on investments. Both facts live in different registers, and only one of them protects you.

Existence

The companies register

Being incorporated

Shows that a company legally exists in the AIFC, with a name, a number and a registered office. Any business can be incorporated — a consultancy, a trading company, a holding vehicle.

It says nothing about what the company may do with anybody's money.

Permission

The register of authorised firms

Being licensed by AFSA

Shows that the financial regulator has authorised a firm for specific regulated activities — and which ones. Permissions are itemised: a firm allowed to advise may not be allowed to hold client assets.

This is the register that matters before money moves.

Recognising the pitch

Six things that should stop the conversation

None of these proves wrongdoing on its own. Together they describe almost every unauthorised investment pitch that uses a financial centre's name as decoration.

"We are registered in the AIFC, so we are regulated"Incorporation is not authorisation. Ask for the licence and the specific permissions, then check them in the regulator's own register.
A guaranteed monthly returnGuaranteed returns on investment are not a product; they are a warning. Real returns vary and real firms say so.
Transfer funds to trade on your behalfHolding client money is itself a regulated activity with strict rules. A firm without that permission must not be receiving your funds.
Payment to a personal account or a walletNo legitimate firm settles client business through an individual's card. This is the clearest single signal there is.
A website that mirrors a real firmCloned sites copy an authorised firm's name and details with one changed digit. Take the contact details from the register, not from the site you were sent.
Urgency, and a reason not to check"The allocation closes tonight." Anything that cannot survive a day of verification was built not to survive it.
Our own position

What we do, plainly

Our own capital

We invest and manage the company's own resources. There is no outside money, no pooled fund and no client portfolio.

Business advisory

Support to companies on operational, structuring and analytical matters that do not require a financial services licence.

Financial analysis

Modelling and analysis for a company's own management decisions — not recommendations to buy or sell investments.

Working with regulated firms

Where a matter requires a licensed firm, we say so and point to firms whose authorisation you can verify yourself.

And what we never do: accept money from the public, hold client assets, manage anyone's portfolio, advise on investments, operate a fund or scheme, or promise a return to any person. Nothing on this site is an offer, an invitation or a recommendation.
Questions

Asked regularly

i.Can I invest through you?

No. We are not authorised to take or manage anyone's money, and we do not. Anyone using this company's name to invite an investment is not acting for us and should be reported to the regulator.

ii.Why does the AIFC matter at all, then?

It is a genuine financial centre with its own legal framework and regulator, and authorised firms there are properly supervised. The point of this page is only that supervision attaches to a licence, not to an address or a certificate of incorporation.

iii.How do I check a licence?

In the regulator's public register of authorised firms. Search the exact legal name, confirm the permissions cover what is being offered, and take the firm's contact details from the register rather than from the message you received.

iv.Someone showed me a certificate. Is that enough?

No. Certificates and screenshots are trivially produced or altered. Only the regulator's own register counts, and it takes a few minutes to search.

v.I have already sent money to a firm like this.

Stop sending more, keep every message, transfer receipt and website address, and report it to the regulator and the police. Be very wary of anyone who then offers to recover the funds for a fee — that is usually the same operation returning.
